Hello, I am Ana
I work as a project manager. I’m a parent and an expat living in Madrid, Spain.
Some years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Spain wasn't in the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday chores felt more complex than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines formed. We found places that worked for us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Pebble Parlor Brick
Most online information came from corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was an honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site aims to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in Spain.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical know-how from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated when there is a real change
This site ISN'T:
- A tourism authority resource
- Sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Spain goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Cheers,
Ana
